Floundering at Baiter

It is a well known fact that floundering is not my favourite pastime! However with the chance to meet up with the guys from Chesil Beach Forum to fish Baiter Park at Poole I decided to go for it.

Pompey Pete who had been out of action for a while due to illness arrived at home off we went to the venue and met up with the other lads. There was a strong cold wind blowing down the harbour as we started the comp at @3 ish as it was a friendly meet the rules where a bit vague some fished with 2 rods others with a single rod and the end time kept moving. However for a change people caught fish which for a meet is some kind of record!!!!!

Pete caught a nice flounder of nearly 2 lbs and a small bass , several other members had flounders the biggest was over 2.5lbs and another member had 3 flounders while others blanked

I was not one of them I had a small flounder which was taken on a dvice rig using it as a ground baiting tool also used a fixed spool reel with braid so I was way out of my comfort Zone

All in all a good meet and it was nice to see some new faces as well as the old faithfull.
